A translator since 1996, I became a freelancer in September 2000. Everything to do with language fascinates me and I also teach French to adults in Edinburgh.
I hold a first-class MA in French Language and English Literature which was awarded by the University of Aberdeen in 1994. I also have a Licence (BA) in English Studies from the University of Paris III – Sorbonne Nouvelle (1992).
I became a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists in 2000.
I am also a member of the Society of Authors and the Translators Association.
After years of focusing on technical translations (engine oils, petroleum, paper making machines, automotive…), I now provide translations mostly for:
- Animation studios,
- TV and film production companies,
- Website translation and localization,
- Advertising and marketing on and off-line
But I am always interested in new, interesting projects: I am currently working simultaneously on a subtitling project for Trace Sports and the adaptation of Zou, an animation series for children.
